Sales And Presentation Skills

Sales and presentation skills are important if businesses are to succeed. Sales allows for income and good presentation skills allow for more sales.  Sounds simple but mastering sales and presentation skills takes energy and takes time.  And it’s oh so important.

Sales and presentation skills don’t always come naturally but you can improve your skills with:

    • Product Knowledge:  knowing the features and benefits of the product should be one of the first things you should know.
    • Building Rapport:  Rapport can be built in person, on the phone or through online means.  It Sales and presentation skillsseems like common sense that building rapport with customers will lead to sales.  When you’ve established good rapport you earn the right to ask questions.
    • Communication:  Communication is not just about what you say but how you say it.  Speaking politely and with respect, mirroring, being friendly and using humor are all aspects that will go far in sales and presenting.
    • Storytelling:  A good storyteller can paint a picture in the mind of a customer.  It’s not about relaying just the features and benefits it’s about making the customer feel.  Emotions are an integral part of selling.  When you work on your storytelling abilities you will go far.
    • Qualifying:  Not everyone that passes through your business will buy or even be a good fit.  Ask questions to determine if they are a good fit.  Ask questions to discover your customers pain or motivation and how your product can solve their problems
    • Time Management:  Make the most of your time.
    • Handling objections:  Facts are there’s going to be questions and objections from customers.  Understanding and responding to questions and skepticism the right way is a valuable skill to develop.
    • Closing Techniques: It’s time to close. So many people are afraid to close.  They’re afraid of rejection.  What’s the worst thing that will happen?  They’ll say no.  What’s so bad about that?   Ask for the sale!
