Success… “Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.” —Henry Ford
No one wants to fail, but it is going to happen and how you respond to failure adds to your success. When you suck at something or struggle it builds character. Failure is a good thing as long as you learn from it.
The fact is no one is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes.
When you start a business for the first time, there’s going to be plenty of things that are new. Expecting to be great right out the gate is unrealistic. Usually when we try new things it’s uncomfortable and a little messy. This is perfectly normal.
It takes time and patience to acquire new skills and master them. Sucking at first is vital to our success. Unbelievable, but true.
So why is it ok to suck or fail at something?
You’ve heard the ole saying, “there’s nowhere to go but up”? When you try something new, it might take you a lot longer to complete a task. Say you are opening up an online store, it may take you hours and hours how to list one item, but once you learn it you can do it faster the next time.
You are going to fail, again and again. You should be ok with it.
I’ve heard this example many times and it makes you think. When a baby is learning to walk and they fall, they don’t quit and give up. They get up and try again and again and soon they’re walking and running all over the place.

So how can you fail better?
Let it go: Don’t dwell on the failures. Learn from them and move on.
Be resilient: When you fail faster, you learn faster. Bounce back and move on.
With consistent action, you’ll be well on your way to a successful business.
