What are some pros and cons of Affiliate Marketing? 

One of the best ways to earn an income online is through affiliate marketing programs.  They have the opportunity for per sale as well as making money passive income.  They have some awesome pros if implemented correctly and you can make incredible money.

Anyone can have a share of the billion dollar affiliate marketing business.  All you need is an interest and will to promote the affiliate program and follow the rules.  You can start earning money the same day.

Pros

The affiliate program usually provides a website that does all the leg work for you. They will handle all the customer support, payment processing, product delivery, and refunds. 

All you have to do is direct people to the website, by providing a link to them directly or from your own website. Once a customer clicks on your link and makes a purchase, you make a commission. 

That’s it. Then just wait for your money to come in. 

If making money online is your focus, using affiliate programs is just one of the many ways that you can do it  No need to create or carry the product. 

It really does not take any marketing skills to get started.  Most good affiliate programs will provide all of the materials you need to promote them to include email copy, banners, text links, and free e-books that you can use as list building incentives on your website. The super good programs will even offer you training, to learn the techniques for promoting their website.

When you join an affiliate program, your only goal is to get traffic to your affiliate link, and then once they purchase, a sale will be generated, and you will make money.

Cons

One of the down sides of promoting affiliate programs, is that you are not likely to be the only one promoting.  There will be other people also promoting and trying to get sales, but there should be plenty of room for everyone.

Also, it’s important to do your research and align yourself with reputable companies.  Some affiliate sites may not be all that organized and they may not pay you in a timely manner or at all.  Again, do your research to protect yourself.  Go online and see if you can find any complaints about the affiliate program.
